Books

I love books. I know that many people feel the same about books like my mom and Jenny Dey. I love to go to Borders, look at wonderful books, write down the titles and check them out at the library.

Right now I have on loan from the library:
I get cook books all the time. The pictures inspire me to try new recipes. I need inspiration for cooking. I have to make it fun for myself or I will dread it. I like to think that I am getting better by all the practice that I get. I know that it is good for my family's health and our finances.
I also check out best sellers all the time. Sometimes I read them. Sometimes, I start them and know that I will never finish them so I return them. I can do that.
If only I had another book like The Glass Castle! That book was great and I enjoyed reading it so much.

I get giddy about the library. It still amazes me that I can check the books out for FREE! I always feel like I know a secret that not everyone knows about. Why doesn't everyone go to the library?
Now I am starting to feel like a real blogger- ranting and raving. Do you want to know my opinion on politics? I don't think so and I am not going to share them. So there! heehee

What a great book!

What a great book! I couldn't put it down so I read it quickly. You should read it too. No, really, you should! Once again, thanks Mom- great pick! Thanks to Aunt Patsy!

Now, if you want to know more or see Jeanette and her mother, watch this:

Another Day, Another Blog

This book was written by the founding guitarist of Korn, Brian Welch. He tells his story of being addicted to drugs, giving up a child for adoption, having another child, and finally- finding Jesus. The first half of the book is somewhat depressing involving all the stories about drug abuse. However, he does find the Lord and really changes his life. It is not the best written book but I think the story is compelling. I know that I don't want my children to ever live the life of a rock star!

In other Mally Jo news, I have been working on a blog for my bible study group. Please take a look at it. If you have any valuable resources to add to it, let me know!

Happy Valentine's Day

I am really into embroidery right now. I tend to bounce from one thing to another- and I am okay with that. It isn't work- it is for fun so I am allowed to do as I please.

I have found a wonderful book to learn and re-learn some stitches:

Colorful Stitchery by Kristin Nicholas
I found it at the library. I like to test drive my books before I buy them for my collection. Otherwise I end up with all these books that I don't use. I like this book and it might be on might list of things I would like to own.

While researching for the book, I also found some amazing blogs with embroidery transfers. I am so excited! Here is one of them:
