These are pillows that I made for my mother-in-law and for my mom. They were a Christmas gift so I couldn't post them earlier. Then I just got lazy and didn't post them. Lee Anne graciously reminded me that I hadn't posted anything lately so this is my first post to get me caught up! (Yes Lee Anne, I do listen to you- and I know you appreciate someone listening to you!)

Hand Embroidered Ornaments
I decided to make as many gifts as I could this year. My husband calls our house "Santa's workshop." Here are a couple of the ornaments that will go to preschool teachers tomorrow. The other side of the ornament is adorable Christmas fabric, of course. I wish that I was keeping these for my tree. Oh, well. Do you have any wonderful handmade ornaments to share?

Happy Valentine's Day

I am really into embroidery right now. I tend to bounce from one thing to another- and I am okay with that. It isn't work- it is for fun so I am allowed to do as I please.
I have found a wonderful book to learn and re-learn some stitches:
Colorful Stitchery by Kristin Nicholas
I found it at the library. I like to test drive my books before I buy them for my collection. Otherwise I end up with all these books that I don't use. I like this book and it might be on might list of things I would like to own.
While researching for the book, I also found some amazing blogs with embroidery transfers. I am so excited! Here is one of them:
